Who is responsible
Simon Cornehl, Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße 154, 41460 Neuss, Germany, contact@experts-for-expats.de, is responsible for the processing of personal data on this website within the meaning of the GDPR.
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics and embeds no advertising or social media tracking. There is therefore no consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
The fonts used (Fraunces and Instrument Sans) are delivered from our own server. No connection to Google servers is opened when you visit this site.
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, California 91723, USA. When you call up a page, your browser transmits technical data that Vercel records in log files: IP address, time of the request, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: we have a legitimate interest in a secure and reliable presentation of our website.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Vercel. Vercel Inc. is based in the United States; the server-side processing of your input takes place on our instructions in the Paris, France data centre, but access from the United States cannot be ruled out. For such cases the transfer is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, Module Two). Details: https://vercel.com/legal/dpa
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we process the details you enter: first and last name, email address, optionally your telephone or WhatsApp number, the topics you select, your preferred language and your consent.
Nothing is stored in a database. Your enquiry is forwarded by email to contact@experts-for-expats.de and exists only in that mailbox.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, and in addition Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the initiation of an advisory contract. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, informally to contact@experts-for-expats.de. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
Your consent covers contact by Simon Cornehl by email, telephone or WhatsApp. If you choose WhatsApp, please note that WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. processes the metadata of that conversation under its own terms; we have no influence on this. You can reach us by email at any time instead.
Our mailbox is operated with Google Workspace. The provider for customers in the European Economic Area is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A data processing agreement (Cloud Data Processing Addendum) is in place. Where data reaches a country outside the EEA, the transfer is based on Google LLC's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Prize draw
At events we hand out paper entry slips. On them we collect: first name, last name, mobile number, email address, the financial topics you tick and your signature confirming the entry.
We use these details to run the draw and to notify the winners — legal basis Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as the entry is a contractual relationship. We only contact you about your financial topics if you have additionally ticked the consent box; the legal basis for that is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
Entry does not depend on giving that consent. The organisers of the draw are Simon Cornehl and Aalia Juneja. The hosting association is not the organiser and receives none of your data.
A video of the draw is published on Instagram. It shows at most the first name and the first letter of the surname of the winners. Winners are contacted directly.
We delete the details of entrants who did not consent to being contacted once the draw has been completed and any prizes have been handed over. Where consent was given, we delete the data when you withdraw it, at the latest after twelve months without contact.
Still to be added: To be confirmed before the slips are printed: the exact draw date and the prize amounts. The slip currently carries them in square brackets. The date named here must match the slip.
We link to our Instagram profile. The link is a plain hyperlink — no content from Instagram is loaded on this website and no data is transmitted until you click it. Once you are on Instagram, the terms of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. apply.
Your rights
You have the right to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Write to contact@experts-for-expats.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority competent for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
